These Terms & Conditions constitute a legal document which sets out the rights and obligations of you as a Purchaser and of British Felt as a seller in relation to the Goods offered by us through this site. By purchasing the Goods through this site you agree to the present Terms & Conditions.
We may change these Terms & Conditions from time to time without notice to you. Changes will apply to any subsequent orders.
Making a Purchase As a purchaser you agree to provide true, valid and complete information about you as is required during our ordering and payment processes. British Felt cannot be held liable for any losses caused by incomplete information being supplied to us. We cannot guarantee that this website will be compatible with your PC, and we accept no liability for any corruption or loss of data held on your PC or any other loss or damage of any kind caused to your PC resulting from use of this website.
Product Availability Our web site is regularly updated. However we cannot guarantee product availability. Orders placed outside our trading hours may not receive instant responses to stock availability. We will endeavour to contact you as soon as is possible if this is the case.
Returns. Your rights to return goods are protected under EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.opsi.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm When you buy goods through www.britishfelt.co.uk, you enjoy the same rights as you would if purchasing from a regular shop or showroom. In addition to this you are entitled to a seven day "cooling off" period, as described in the government web-site shown above. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchases. However if for any reason you are unhappy please return your purchase to us within 7 days and we will exchange, replace or refund the purchase at your request- subject to the following conditions:
- "The goods must be returned in clean, strong packaging "fit for purpose".
- "The goods must be returned to us in a clean, undamaged, unused condition.
- "Returns are only accepted by prior arrangement with our office.
- "We will not refund any items that have been specially manufactured to your individual specifications.
Please do not return goods without first contacting us. Please contact us by e mail or telephone explaining the reason for your complaint and we will respond accordingly.
Payment All our prices are subject to the current rate of VAT. We are able to accept all major credit and debit cards. Unfortunately we do not accept American Express card payments. All credit and debit card transactions on this website are processed using secure online payment systems provided by Sage-pay. We are also able to accept payment by cheque, and automated bank transfer (BACS) We do not recommend you send cash via the postal system as it is an insecure method of payment. All credit/debit card payments are subject to certain validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If your card issuer refuses or does not authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. We will take payment at the point of order. You will receive a confirmation of your payment from Sage-pay and within 24hrs you will receive a confirmation that we have received your order instructions.
Delivery We will aim to ship your order within 5 working days (Monday to Friday) of your confirmed payment. Please note that our offices and production unit (s) are not staffed during weekends. If there is a delay in manufacture or availability you will be immediately informed. If you make a decision at this point that the delay is too long, you may cancel your order in writing to us and we will process a full refund to you.
Delivery Charges Our delivery charges are indicated at every point during your purchase and checkout procedure. We do not charge delivery per item. We charge delivery per complete purchase as a separate value. We use trusted UK courier services to deliver your purchases to either business or personal addresses. Saturday deliveries are available at extra cost over and above the normal charge. If you require a Saturday delivery, please indicate this when ordering and we will communicate the extra cost to you. Standard deliveries are between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm Monday to Friday. If you have any special delivery requirements please communicate this information to us at the order point.
Tax Charges British Felt is a VAT registered company. Our VAT registration number is GB2516179. We will charge VAT on all goods and shipping costs at the current rate.
Privacy & Security We are committed to protecting your security. Your details and credit/debit card information taken by our secure server is encrypted using 128 bit encryption. We collect your address and contact details only to enable us to process your order. We do hold your address and contact details on file in the event that you return to us with further orders. We will never disclose your details or discuss your orders with third parties, other than the information requested by the delivery companies.
Cookies Cookies are small pieces of text that your web browser stores on your computer when you visit some sites. British Felt uses some cookies that make it easier for you to use our site. For example we may use a cookie to retrieve your shopping cart contents on a return visit. The cookie contains no personal information about you. Please note that if you turn off cookies in your web browser you will be unable to shop within our site or benefit from other features that may require cookies.
Warranties & Guarantee's
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the product ordered is suitable for its intended use or application. We guarantee that we will manufacture and supply the order to the agreed British Standards applicable to the product/material.
